At some point in our lives, we all must have wondered about the stars and the night sky somewhere in solitary. See, this is a common natural human instinct, to be curious of the unknown. And evolving that curiosity into reality lies in our hands and fate. One particular child named Alyssa Carson had that dream too at a very young age. And within the course of time, she managed to draw all her knowledge and hard work into becoming one of the seven ambassadors for Mars One, a mission to establish the first human colony on Mars in 2030.
Alyssa, from Baton Rouge, Louisiana was only 3 when she told her dad, “Daddy, I want to be an astronaut, and be one of the people that go to Mars.” Since that day onward she hasn’t stopped a second in achieving that dream.
She is now 17 years old and has achieved many accomplishments in the history of Space studies.
When she was 16 years old, she witnessed the launching of 3 Space Shuttle, attended space camp 7 times including the camps in United States, Canada, and Turkey, which makes her the first person to attend all three NASA Space Camps in the world. She also attended Space Academy 3 times and became the youngest to graduate Advanced Space Academy.
